Coming home to Boston for the summer, I’m in search of some activities or weekend getaways… I recently came across Adventure Finder for a more serious and action-filled vacation. Adventure Finder is a specialized search engine that aggregates tour packages and activities from other sites or helps plan your next adventure.

Users can plan trips based on specified categories: Destination, Who’s going, Activities, or build a customized trip. Although, I probably won’t personally book a trip there, it’s a good way to start my brainstorming and get ideas for destinations and activities.

EDIT: Also try Globetrooper to travel with like-minded travelers (strangers). Sounds like a creative way to leverage social networking in order to build a custom itinerary or join one that’s already in the works
